#1. BuildMax is not a lender, mortgage broker or loan originator. We do have pre-arranged relationships with national lenders that specialize in owner-builder financing. Our involvement is in the capacity of an offsite guidance and support team for our client and the lender. In no way do we represent ourselves as loan officers for any lending institution.

#2. 100% financing applies in most cases. In some cases, depending on credit, debt, scope of project, type of project, and state, the lender may not offer 100% financing. In these cases a down-payment or equity position may be required. Speak with your loan officer for details on your specific situation. Interest rates and origination points vary depending on the lending program. Please consult with the lender for specific rates and options on your loan.

#3. BuildMax has lenders that offer financing in all 50 states. Some of our lenders have restrictions on Alaska, Hawaii & Alabama.

#5. BuildMax is a dba of Equity Builders, LLC, a Kentucky corporation in good standing.

#6. Depending on the lender, we may or may not provide assistance with draw requests.

#7. This is an owner-builder program for the do-it-yourselfer. All on-site participation will be done by the client. BuildMax will be available to answer questions (via the phone) throughout the homebuilding process. It is the clients responsibility to contact BuildMax if they need help or advice. BuildMax does not guarantee any amount of equity on any project. Typical savings from previous clients have been 10 to 25%.

#8. We cannot offer loans in Texas or Hawaii. Please consult with your BuildMax consultant on specific details.

#9. Some lenders may require an on-site supervisor when NIV, NINA and stated programs are required.

#10. Contractor Disclaimer:

Although I may request BuildMax to assist me in locating individuals or companies to assist me in construction of my home, I understand that it is my responsibility to interview and check the credentials of anyone I choose to do work for me. Therefore, under no circumstance will I claim that BuildMax or their lenders have endorsed any entity or person. In the event any person I hire to assist me performs in an unsatisfactory manner, neither BuildMax nor its representative shall have any liability whatsoever. In other words, I acknowledge that I will be solely responsible for whom I hire and how they perform. I also agree to act as the general contractor of my homebuilding project and oversee all functions of this position. I understand that BuildMax will assist me with offsite guidance and support and that BuildMax is in no way representing themselves as a general contractor or project manager. I understand that BuildMax is a consulting firm and I am the general contractor and project manager of this project. I take full responsibility for the cost-to-build budget,  for all sub-contractors and for overseeing the completion of this project.
